For the filters code, I think it's in quite good shape, but not quite good enough. There are a couple bugs, which degrade the usability horribly. At least, the banding problem: big transarent gaps appear in blurred images. Sorry, but I have been too busy lately to look at it.
And yes, there still is only one filter...
That is ok. The infrastructure there for more...
Ok, I think we should still put the push on to release and hopefully get some other contributors to this codebase by showing that it exists, needs love, etc.
Plus, in our bugfix state towards the end of a release cycle, we could hopefully get others to help nail these...thoughts?
