Sorry, it has been a while since I have checked this email account and checked on the status of the Scheme console.
I would be very glad to make an up-to-date patch for current SVN that does not contain document locking. Hopefully, I will be able to provide one before this week is over.

I milestoned this one for 0.46, but I'm worried I won't have enough time to get it done... is there someone else who'd be interested in reviewing this patch and putting it in. I think without the document locking there is not contention on the implementation, I was thinking that we could leave that out for now (it'd be slower) and it would still be a useful patch.
