The procedural templates would add new string changes which we cannot do at this point unless we're okay with having untranslated strings (I'm not a fan of such a big code change as well as the untranslated strings myself). However, instead of porting, we should probably discuss when to start the release process for 0.92. If we get 0.91 out and 0.92 doesn't have any major new regressions, I see no reason not to push into chilling right after the holidays. We could target a late winter or early spring 0.92 release if all goes well and if we're not in bad shape currently.
