Hopefully with the text area / swatches stuff moved to the right slide. (although it's not /too/ important in the grand scheme of things)

su_v says they're giving a few more days even though we missed the deadline.
I've sent the slides off to pippin. They look great, and waaay better than I could have done! Thanks again everyone, great show of collaboration. Below are the speaker notes I wrote up to include with them.

State of Inkscape
Slide 0: Inkscape
Slide 1:
Inkscape wraps up four years of development work to release 0.91, with new features, a new website, and of course many bug fixes.
With this release, Inkscape is now fully converted to using Cairo as its rendering library, which improved performance, stability, and rendering quality.
They are jumping up version numbers with an eye to finally releasing a 1.0 version, maybe in the next year or so.
Slide 2:
With such a big release under their belt, the Inkscape project is shifting focus to tackle some longstanding infrastructure issues, and is working to build up the size of their development community. If you've got general technical skills or an interest in drawing software, right now might be a great opportunity to get involved.
The group has just completed a three-day hackfest here in Toronto, thanks to funding from hundreds of donors. Check their website to see what came of that event.
Peeking at their future roadmap a couple upcoming feature development priorities are SVG flowed text, and CMYK spot colors.
