I think it could be useful a "fit selection to page" button, specially when you get/made an artwork and you want to fit it into some specific format (a3, a4...), for example working for a printing work.
I saw something like this to anybody was working with Macromedia Freehand.
This is only an idea, I don know if it's already implemented at devel version.
Please check for a feature like this listed in the Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) tracker on the website. If it's not there, go ahead and add a new request for it. This sounds like something which could go into the transformation dialog.
