Scrapbookers and grade school children... we have a number of users in these groups (among other less tech-savvy groups). Unless you know of a way to torrent without requiring a special application for it, it's just a potential source of confusion for these people.
If I go to download something on someone else's computer for them or give them a link it's going to be a direct download. Even for myself I only opt for torrent downloads for large files or in special cases. I don't think I'm alone in that.
I'm not saying I'm against torrents as an option. It's just less straight forward than it should be for the average user and I'm not sure how prominent of an option it should be.
