Talk to Ingo Molnar, last time I discussed this with him he said assembly should no longer cause that. I guess it's more complex than I thought.
Ingo, perhaps you can clarify any confusion here as to when PT_GNU_STACK RWE is generated.
We're trying to remove the executable stack requirement from the inkscape binary (and mplayer, lame, gpg, and Sun's JRE for that matter). It causes problems for the SElinux strict policy due to the kernel's READ implies EXECUTE logic.
