[Inkscape-devel] Seamless pattern ui suggestion

Hi everyone:

A few months ago there was a discussion about UI improvements to help designing seamless patterns. The following link has a couple of screenshots of an application made for textile patterns:

It would nice to have a View mode for patterns. More descriptions: The designer prepares a canvas, for example 24x24. Inside we draw something. We change to Pattern view mode The canvas changes to a pattern view where we can tweak a couple of parametres for displacement. Whenever we draw outside the canvas the view reflects changes for seamless design.

Hope this helps and somebody else would be interested in such feature :)
