I agree with suv on this. Please report any problems with MacPorts builds to macports by filing a ticket at
https://trac.macports.org/newticket
with as many details as possible. In order to help we need to be able to reproduce the problem so nothing is too trivial to report.
Concerning inkscape please report at least the following:
Mac OS X Version Xcode version and build (xcodebuild -version) The port version and any variants in use
Any and all diagnostic information your can provide including debugger output if possible.
Currently both inkscape +x11 and inkscape +quartz build and run correctly for me using
Mac OS X 10.11.6 (El Capitan) Xcode 8.2.1 Build version 8C1002
I'm currently testing inkscape +quartz on Sierra to see if I can reproduce this problem there.
