I know Bryce has blogged about the annoyance of offering to fund development instead of contributing code, but if any developers are interested in Inkscape work for hire, I'd welcome the opportunity to commission the kind of feature seen in the LivePen Illustator plugin from http://01-lab.com in Inkscape :-)

Is this tool a sort of path-along-path with variable width?
