The fact that LPEs don't update while you drag (only when you release) has absolutely nothing to do with them being en LPE. It's just an implementation detail. It is possible to do it completely live if someone badly needs it. At the very least, this is irrelevant for the W3C list where the source SVG is discussed.
Boolean LPE crashing has even less to do with this. And yes, it is possible to stack LPEs arbitrarily, including applying booleans to spiros.
Please stop spreading FUD about LPEs :)
