Can't reproduce - pressing Shift+S the second time extend the second handle for me
See attached file: difference is after the first use of 'Shift+S': in 0.48 and later, it extracts both handles, whereas in 0.47 it only extracts one handle, making the cusp node half-smooth it if is between a straight line and a curved segment.
