That's a good point. Indeed I think it will be useful to have a "3D flip" button on the toolbar. And no, it will be useful not only for infinite-VP perspectives. It's just that with finite VPs, it will be interpreted differently: not as rotating of the box (which would then have a wrong perspective), but as converting a box into a hollow structure similar to three walls of a room with other walls removed, in the same perspective as the box. This button would work by swapping the z-order of the three lower sides and three upper (closer to view) sides, taken as groups.
And this flipped state should be stored in the box as some attribute, so that it's not lost when you edit the box in 3D.
