Having a country flag next to a language does not make sense, so we cannot really reason about this like that. I think it's better to remove the flags, unless the intention is to make country-specific content. If you want to preserve the icons, they at least should be clear. The (not so well-known) English flag is confusing and should be replaced with a more recognizable indication of the English language.
Related small thing: it should be 日本語 (the language) instead of 日本 (the country).
