I think the general consensus is that there is not enough "user" traffic to be disturbing developers. In fact, I definitely find that it helps me keep in touch with what the "real people" using Inkscape are doing and what their needs are.

In fact, I think that not separating "users" and "developers" is part of the low barrier to entry that has helped Inkscape flourish. Instead of that split, we have "contributors" of various activities.
