I'm taking a class on UX design this semester and, throughout the semester, my task is to design a user interface (based on various techniques learned throughout the semester, including rigorous user testing).

I've been pondering designing the UI for SVG animation in Inkscape.

If so, could you please clue me in to what the plans for animation in Inkscape are?

The roadmap vaguely mentions "Animation support" and http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/SpecSVGAnimation seems to merely be a list of suggestions.

What functionality might be part of an initial implementation?
