I'm not sure what you mean. Since the use of the Alt key is *hardcoded* into the files I listed, the option to only change one place doesn't exist, does it? Does GDK provide some way to hide the mapping? I can't see one but I'm no expert on GDK.
And I can assure you of the utility.
