Why couldn't it be when switching to node tool ? For me, switching to node tool has a meaning of editing the shape, I
would find normal to be able to edit my image border when I click on the
node tool.
I see it like this : every rectangular image is an image with a mask. When we switch to the node tool, we directly edit this mask.
