Is anyone looking into these fixes? If they do indeed fix bugs it would be a shame to let them go to waste.
I have tested all patches now proposed for merging with Inkscape trunk; for most, see my comments in the bug reports (I can't review the code, but all work without noted regressions and - except the one for bug #665316 - seem save to be merged).
All fixes merged into trunk and 0.48.x. The fix for #665316 only changed the routing of some events, so it should not affect connector features. I merged it as well.
thx :)

Detail: Radial gradient with opaque head and tail stops breaks PDF. Evince says "Error (95): ExtGState 's6' is wrong type", when I open the PDF. Adobe Reader 9.4 cannot open the document.
I can confirm this. This might be an issue with the 1.10.0 version of Cairo supplied with Ubuntu Maverick. There were some changes related to radial gradients in that release.
Possibly duplicate of Bug #672686 - Some diagrams results in "Illegal character" in the generated pdf https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/672686
(AFAIU related to opaque gradients, fixed in the cairo 1.10 branch for cairo 1.10.2)
