Hi all,
Google has officially announced the 2008 summer of code project this year. Project applications will be accepted starting March 3rd.
A first step is to gather ideas of projects for students. To do this, if you have an idea, please register it as a blueprint in launchpad:
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/inkscape/
When I submit our application, I will be using the blueprints as the source of ideas for projects, so please help post project ideas there.
Also, if you are willing to mentor the project, please indicate it in launchpad via the 'Offer mentorship' link on the blueprint page.
Oh, and also, if you know of one or more bugs that relate to the blueprint, you can link them via the 'Link to bug report' link.
