I don't have problems with the ps-output. Should I anyway change the codebase to svgostringstream?

Strange but true, it seems to be immune. Maybe because it uses fprintfs and not printfs. Let's leave it as is for now.

Thanks for your work on the patches. They're very good, I looked them over carefully and did not find any errors. Are you interested in more work on Inkscape codebase? If so we could give you developer access.
