Hi,

Now, with "#" the only thing that goes on and off is the grid, but not the "adjustment" (it adjusts to nothing, because the grid is not drew, but it still adjusts). This is very annoying to me, because to be able to work freely and back, and need to go the config, change the settings, and then again to go back.
I also strongly dislike this behavior of the recent Inkscape versions. (I can only apologize not to have mentioned it before here or in Bugzilla - I hoped it would resolve "automagically" sooner or later... very old very bad user attitude of mine (; )
My "workaround" is to keep a "Document Preferences (Shift+Ctrl+D)" window open most of the time - but just when I need it to switch the grid and the snapping (that's probably meant by "adjustment") on and off "together", it's not there... :o/
Maybe the solution might be to make a couple of checkboxes to define '#' / '|' key behavior, for example:
-------------------------------------------- | Pressing the <#> key toggles: | [ ] Grid visibility // equiv. to "Show grid" | [ ] Snapping bounding boxes to grid // equiv. to "Snap bboxes 2 grid" | [ ] Snapping points to grid // equiv. to "Snap points 2 grid" --------------------------------------------
They are actually equivalent to those already in the Doc.Pref. window.
OR, it could be solved like this:
-------------------------------------------- | [ ] Show grid [ ] Toggled by pressing <#>? | [ ] Snap bounding boxes to grid [ ] Toggled by pressing <#>? | [ ] Snap points to grid [ ] Toggled by pressing <#>? --------------------------------------------
Hope to have provided some useful ideas, Felix
PS: Thanks bulia for the fast bug fixing :)
