Hi,
I just came across a blog entry discussing vector vs. bitmap for icons.
It also mentions a limitation with Illustrator, but that's a side one.
Anyway, just wanted to point this out as something we might look at. I know I'll follow up on the icon aspects, as it falls in line with things I've discussed with various icon authors in addition to the librsvg team, ksvg peoples, etc.
