[Inkscape-devel] copy between files in 0.42

Is anyone else unable to copy an object from one open Inkscape file to another Inkscape file in another window ? I was able to do this before upgrading to 0.42 but not sure if that is the problem. Would it be a problem if the coordinates of the copied object are off the target page? ps. using 0.42 in debian unstable. thks.
