Hello, all,
My name's Mike, and I have been an avid Inkscape user for several years. For a year as a web designed I used Inkscape almost exclusively despite the fact that my station was equipped with Adobe Illustrator. I also love and support open source projects, so I figured the two fit. I'll spare the rest of my intro and get to the point.
Recently Pi Mu Epsilon, a national mathematics honor society of which I am a member, announced a seal redesign contest to commemorate their centennial in 2014. Each chapter in the country could submit a design. This last month in Pittsburgh, at Mathfest, the four national semifinalists were unveiled, and mine, created entirely using Inkscape, was one of them. I have it attached as an SVGZ file. I wanted to share and offer it as a possible showcase addition.
You will notice that I left many of my alternative design elements present in the file, but if you export the page at 300dpi you will see what I submitted to the contest.
Thanks very much, Mike
