i think there are two parts of the problem: - the first half is creating the shadows, and here i can't see other solution than http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=93438&atid=604309&func=deta... - the second one is displaying shadows in Gnome: if you add shadows using the Blur filter, will be librsvg able to render them?
