this thread is meant to brainstorm the possibility of implementing SVGFonts rendering on canvas without use of libpango.
Since libpango development of the userfonts feature is very slow
(currently at 0% done), I would like to ask you to keep in mind the
possibility of adding special cases for SVG Fonts in the font family
selector and in the text rendering on canvas.
I am not asking you (Milosz) to implement it. I just would like to be sure
that you are aware of this need and, if possible, I would like to
brainstorm a bit about what should we do to better integrate SVGFonts
rendering on canvas even without pango support.
