Hi all,
I have downloaded and installed yesterday Inkscape 0.43 (MacOS X version). It launches fine, but if I try to open a SVG file, either created with the former version of Inkscape or with Adobe Illustrator, I get an error message saying: "Failed to load the requested file /Users/hf/..." although the file preview is displayed properly in the open dialog.
I have then tried to create a new file with Inkscape 0.43, quit Inkscape, re-launch it, and tried to re-open the file Inkscape 0.43 had just created: same result, failed to load the file.
Hi, I am having the same problem on OS X 10.4.3, and haven't been able to figure out the problem.
I sent an email to the inkscape-devel list; the error inkscape returns is:
(inkscape-bin:822): libgnomevfs-CRITICAL **: gnome_vfs_uri_is_local: assertion `uri != NULL' failed
Do you have Fink & libgnomevfs installed? I don't. What about others using Inkscape on OS X successfully? Do you think that's the problem?
