The rulers issue is a known GTK3 problem that we have. I imagine you're seeing the canvas flickering as well on panning/zooming. The icons might not be the correct size. I know there are theme specific issues for Ubuntu's themes such as the buttons for overflow menus not showing.
Yeah, I don't know that it's really something that needs testing, outside of seeing if there are additional issues we aren't aware of (the above items are not a comprehensive list, and it's based mostly on recall not recent first-hand testing).
