Great idea Bryce! You are good at pushing for these types of things. I think it would be good to push on footnotes, osnews and lwn.
The last article you wrote did pretty well, and we are in need of pushing PR to the next level while we are still in the Holiday zone to encourage more contributions.

This is also a rough "off the cuff" writing, so needs some editing and wordsmithing, as it's probably too wordy at this point. I haven't even spell checked it, so there's probably seplling and that grammer problem too.
