Using "NEW:" subject lines for announcing features seems to have become a more or less established tradition, which is good. But I'd like to point out that sending a "NEW:" email to the list also assumes that you have added the same announcement to http://wiki.inkscape.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?ReleaseNotes. Please don't forget doing that (Ted, for this one I added a placeholder, please expand it when you have time).
