In this case it sounds like a terrible overhead. If there can be a nice abstraction, then it might work, but if not, chances are that we will break a lot of things for 0.47 and probably even beyond.
Right now we are finally compatible with the rest of the stack (Scribus and GIMP, not speaking about people coming with AI and CDR background) at the cost of being less accessible for our technical drawing users. Whatever you decide, please don't break everything :)
