I thought Josh recently posted on the list that Inkscape's GTK3 interface is broken and we are not ready to switch.
The btool build (which is the only build we can count on!) does not work properly (for example, the rulers don't render).
Can you send me your inkscape/etc/gtk-3.0/settings.ini file? (this one is explicitly defined in build-x64-gtk3.xml, so it may be very different for you)
