      Hi Marc,
So, Inkscape's EPS import depends on the `ps2pdf` command which is
part of Ghostscript, and is not bundled in with Inkscape but which I
had installed on my system. If you're happy installing ghostscript
with homebrew or macports, then I'd suggest doing that.
Otherwise, as a workaround without Ghostscript installed, you can
convert from EPS to PDF using Preview.app, which you can import into
Inkscape.
