thanks a lot for this very detailed answer. The thing is that I was expecting a setting in Launchpad and got slightly baffled that I was obviously too stupid to find it. :)

You are right, this can be a very useful feature - although I still think there should be a way to turn this off, for example if people go on holidays and don't happen to have unlimited space in their email accounts. So maybe I'll file a feature request for that.

In any case will your explanations help a lot with setting up the right kinds of filters, even if I currently don't use mutt. I'm sure many other people think the same.
