Following are the meeting notes for the Developer Meeting on 25th December 2024:
Attending: Ishaan, Jonathan, Mike, Tav, Elendil (Krlr17)
Ishaan: Working on Martin's centralised marker transforms refactor, stuck on definition of no stroke. Mike suggested to ping Rafael as he worked recently on markers. Some discussion on harlines.
Mike: Comboboxes to dropdown replacement. Working on breaking Object Properties MR into smaller MRs for better reviewability. Also worked on Spin button implementation.
Tav: Working on color fonts rendering with different font types with recent cairo and harfbuzz. A brief explanation of color fonts and their different types (very interesting!)
Elendil: asked Tav whether the PDF text import fixes need forward-porting (they do). Some discussion on whether a newer pango version is required.
Jonathan would like to use Inkscape's Mac that Tav is using during the Summit to check a file that only works on Mac. Jonathan also wanted to check if someone would like to submit a proposal for LGM from Inkscape - Supporting a Proprietary Format, GTK4 migration, CMYK work might be interesting topics. Some discussion of 1.4.1, Marc and Martin might be the right people to ask about that.
