Much simpler versions of the same kind of filters renamed "Fill background" (for the colorizable one) and "Flatten transparency" for the white one.

Perhaps not useful for exporting to EPS but for those who want easily flatten transparency of complex objects including shadows or other effects here are two simple filters : "Opaque background" adds a white opaque background and "Opaque background color" is the same + one flood primitive which allows to color the background of the filter area.

An useful tip : group already filtered objects before applying these filters (that's not necessary for unfiltered semi-transparent bitmaps).
