Hello all,
I remarked a behavior that I find counter intuitive when dealing with clones. It also seems to me like it is just a bug in Inkscape's UI and that the underlying SVG rendering is correct. When cloning an object, the properties of the clones (color, opacity etc.) can be edited only if they are "unset" in the original object. Therefore, I expect that when I unset stroke on the original object I should be able to edit all aspects of the stroke of its clone(s). While this is true for color, this is not true for stroke width, line cap style, opacity and all other properties. However if I manually edit the original objects properties and remove its stroke width, line cap, opacity etc. attributes, it is possible to change them in the clone and Inkscape displays it fine (apart from markers that are not retained). I have done a file in which the behavior is showed for all attributes I could think of: http://jo.irisson.free.fr/dropbox/inkscape/test_unset_stroke.svg
So I think that when unsetting stroke, all stroke attributes should be removed, not only color. Would this be conceivable?
PS: in addition, while unsetting fill makes it appear black, unsetting stroke makes it disappear. Is it intended?
