Sorry everybody, in times of desperation one can post desperate messages ;-)

I solved my problem. I installed a font with a filename Zmachine(sRB).ttf and this caused gs to raise this error:

--nostringval-- --nostringval-- Zmachine sRB --nostringval--

I removed the font and everything works.
