Hi, I need to open a .cdr file, the file was created in CorelDraw GS X5. Inkscape can't open it. Do you have any tip/trick?

Ask the guy who gave you the file to save it in an older version that Uniconvertor can manage or even better, in a format better suited for exchange (SVG or at least PDF). That's probably the same they would ask you if you send them a Corel Draw X5 file and they would have Corel X4.

And, as a personal remark, I think it's more reasonable to ask closed source software to have good support of files that have open specifications than expecting free software to support closed source formats. ;-)
