      Agreed. And why do we default to SVG plus extension namespace on "save as",
rather than straight SVG? The current setup with "save as" seems a bit
clunky and I think is confusing to people coming to Inkscape for the first
time. This is such a basic area that it should work easily and intuitively.

Another thing...why do we have extensions in the save and open dialog
that don't work. Shouldn't these be commented out till they are
implemented?
