Please remember that the 3D Box tool, as with all other GSoC projects, is not close to being finished... we're just getting to the mid-term progress report stage (and Max had a late start this summer to boot). Please be patient and see what Max has in store. With the quality of his proposal, as well as knowing his mentor's reputation, I can assure you that it will all come together and make sense (as well as be incredibly intuitive) prior to the first official release to include it.
Yeh, I totally understand that it's a work in progress. And it does seem to be coming along nicely. He was asking for feedback so I was trying to give some is all. I looked at the web page and didn't see anything about a UI for adjusting the distances to the vanishing points easily over the full range from 0 to infinity, so I thought I'd throw out a rough idea for how to do that.
