It seems they're talking about owning a phone account in order to be able to join certain services.

If that's the case, then I strongly advise against proprietary services such as whatsapp, trello, slack, etc...

And I would not advise using Telegram as well since the chat logs are not publicly indexed (unless someone does the job of setting up a bot specifically for that purpose).

I read all the thread but was little bit confused: are we talking here about developing inskcape for mobile platforms (iOS and Android) or even better, for tablets (following more or less what Krita did with Gemini version? https://krita.org/en/download/krita-gemini/), or having a physical device, like a cell phone, to be part of 3rd party services?

I think not but dont find a free SIM provider with this name. Anyway we
