Hi all,
If there are enough seats, I'd be happy to join in. My translation work should be finished in a week or two, and then I will be able to focus on the Inkscape software before the event.
I barely touched GTK+ and I never felt ease with GUI especially in C++, but getting used with it and become able to develop well system-integrated apps is one of my dreams so I'm very curious about how you work. I only have a 2-year computing diploma but I've been learning and using C then C++ for years; I'm missing contribution to professional apps though.
My first motivation to join the Inkscape project was to contribute at getting this powerful software not being stained by annoying bugs. I used Inkscape 0.91 to draw graphs (with vertexes and edges) and I always wondered why those connectors had been (visually) messed up when I re-opened my file (until I moved the nodes — and then, the connector joins the location the node had *before* its movement). I tried to use the 0.92pre1 for translation but I was quickly discouraged by the small amount of seconds I needed to discover something going wrong and the idea that I couldn't get through all that without searching/making bug reports, and dealing with it would really make the translation work more complicated. One thing at once, but at final I want something perfect. I thought I couldn't expect that without involving. Uh… Seems the connectors' bug is still present in 0.92pre1. I'm not an artist but I love vector graphics for its mathematical sense, precision and expressivity, whereas I've always felt rasters as an awful thing (when it's to draw). I want to use Inkscape to draw schemas for the association France-IOI which teaches computer science to young French students (the president has tried Inkscape but is keeping using MsPaint because Inkscape looked too laggy/complicated). I'm also interested in having updated and exhaustive documentation for users and developers.
I'll let you judge whether involving me is a good idea but I'm just answering the question: I'm available.

Hi Tav,
I'd potentially be interested in this; I'd need to check how much vacation I have left, but I'll let you know soon.
It's unlikely I'll have the time to go to this one. It's a bit too far for another trip this year.
Do we have a wiki page to document everyone's availability?
