Letter spacing out is works, but spacing in (tightening) does not (I'm using hungarian kayboard).

I know some localized keyboards have problems with some keys. Please suggest a logical alternative to alt+< that would work for you.

So If no one works on it, I try to put this to text dialog.

Would be good! Also planned is a controls panel for the text tool (now it's empty) with widgets for font, size, style, kerning, etc. When done it will be more convenient than the bulky dialog, so I would suggest looking into implementing that panel first.
