Hello everyone, I am Soham Tripathy aka Archaic Mage from India. I started using Inkscape as an alternative to Illustrator (which was costly) for my school projects (small scale). Inkscape is free to use, easy to navigate and has noticed many significant improvements over the years.

I was fascinated by the team which was able to make such a wonderful product.This inspired me to contribute to open source projects. Since, Inkscape was the first software which introduced me to open source, I wanted to start contributing to it.

I am a second year, computer science student in Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. I am completely new to open source contributions, but I have a good enough knowledge on git, c++, CSS, GitHub and I have also started learning GTK. 

In regards to it, I have successfully forked and cloned the Inkscape repository on my local system(Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS) and I was also able to build and run it. I have also read the programming style used.

Kindly guide me, on how to start making small contributions to Inkscape, what kind of issues to address and how to start researching about those issues.
