About the tree keyboards sortcuts my opinion is:
*A key for switching the node type, I think is confusing for real usage. Anybody opinion?
*A key to reverse the direction of the curve, is not posibol because the spiro spline dont have this posibility, It go by the position of the points whit a fixed direction.
*The last is beatiful. What do you think about CTRL+SHIFT?

..much better and intuitive but we need some keyboard keys to control the direction of the curve right after we make a new node (as when you want to create a sharp corner for your shape).
on my vision - 3 keyboard controls we will need to use when we define the shape using the mouse movement
- a key for switching the node type - a key to reverse the direction of the curve (when we move the cursor) - a key to change the line type ( line / curve ) - from the last created node to the next "node to be created" ..
then - probably the final step will be an icon for spiro tool on the main tool-bar.
