[Inkscape-devel] Compiling with extension support

Hi, I'm testing out the .42 version for translation consistency but I can't get it to compile the extensions. I have read Aaron's doc on dependency: http://www.ekips.org/comp/inkscape/depends.php I have the packages mentioned there but still the ./configure script says at the end:

Use Xft font database: yes Use gnome-print: no Use gnome-vfs no Use openoffice files: yes Use MMX optimizations: yes Use relocation support: no Use Python extensions: skipped Use Perl extensions: skipped

I still don't have the "Effects" menu Am I missing some step here?
