By the way we have two bugs implying that AI import does not work on Windows and in OSX due to some Perl errors in ill2svg.pl. I think this is another issue that must be resolved somehow before the release, because AI import is important for many users. I will now test it on Linux, anyone else's comments and reports are welcome:
