Hi guys! Excuse my silence these days. I'm moving to another country, and it's been crazy weeks. The next weekend I'll be able to analyze the core changes that Martin told me, and how I am a web developer, maybe, it's not will so hard for me develop the new UI/UX.

Hi all, I have not been able to contribute just yet, but I still plan to dive in to help with Mac version and as I am a ux designer would also be happy to chime in on any ux/ui matters too.

Hi Xaviju,
I was even discussing with Marién, who is the author of this thread originally, and I was thinking if it is too crazy or too much work to license this work in a way that it could also be reused by Scribus/Audacity folks as well... those are other nice programs that also suffer from not-so-good-looking-UI-despite the really useful features. Like OpenToolbars. Or something...
If this idea is too broad or too much hassle we can focus exclusively on Inkscape.

Thanks Marc and Olof,
Designers: what else than the information given by Marc do you need to
get started actually implementing UX improvements...? Are you able to understand what you need to do?
I guess for most of the designers some of this technologies are just far away. Even more if the have to figure out by themselves where and how to start. What about some basic onboarding process or mentorship for people willing to contribute to the Inkscape interface? Is there already something like that? Will somebody be interested in doing that introduction? Is just a crazy idea?

Hi everyone,
So I guess what I could do to help the project at the moment would be
to
translate the PO files for the PT_BR (Brazilian Portuguese) for the
next
release? Would this be helpful?
- Yes, indeed that would be helpful.
PT_BR seems to be only translated at a meagre 48 % (for inkscape-docs plus Inkscape program).
Here's info on where to find the various po files: https://inkscape.org/en/contribute/translations/#translatable-content
Maren
Let me know.
